Q: How do I apply for SACB membership?
You may apply for Associate membership through our website. Simply create an account, select Associate membership at our Membership page and check out.

Q: What is the difference between an Associate and Professional membership? May I apply for Professional membership?
To be a Professional member, one must have 3 years of good standing as an Associate member. Professional members are entitled to full voting rights in Council elections and on constitutional amendments. In addition, Professional members are also eligible to stand for election and serve on the Council.

Q: What are membership charges like?
SACB membership (Associate or Professional) is at SGD30 per year.
An initial membership fee of $30 is charged in your first year of membership, regardless of your enrollment date.
Thereafter, membership fees will renew annually on 1 January each year and will continue until you choose to cancel your membership.

Q: Can I cancel my membership at any time?
You may cancel your membership at any time. However, membership fees already paid for the current year are non-refundable. Your membership will remain active until the next billing cycle.

Q: I have reached 3 years of good standing as an Associate member. Do I need to apply for Professional membership?
You do not need to re-apply for Professional membership. Upon achieving 3 years of good standing, you will be promoted to Professional member accordingly with no further action required from yourself. We will inform you of your change in membership via email.

Q: I applied for a Professional membership but it was not approved. Am I eligible for a refund?
If your membership application is not approved, your initial payment will be fully refunded, and your recurring subscription will be cancelled accordingly.
You may choose to reapply for Associate membership instead. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please feel free to contact us.

Q: How do I know if I still have a valid SACB membership?
You may log into your account and click on “Manage Membership” to view your current membership status. If you do not remember your account details such as email/password, you may contact us to assist you with the relevant information.

Q: Can I be an SACB member if I am a student?
Yes, students are eligible for Associate membership. Once the student receives relevant credentials and professional experience, they may be considered for Professional membership.
