Our Story
Singapore Association of Clinical Biochemists is the representative organisation for clinical biochemistry and laboratory medicine in Singapore. Founded in 1978 by Dr Tan It Koon and his team of early clinical biochemists in Singapore, the association has been growing steadily.
Near the turn of the millennium, the baton was passed to Prof Aw Tar Choon who continued to advance the professional standing of local clinical biochemists. Through the enduring work of our immediate past President A/Prof Sunil Sethi and his team, the society has expanded to an active membership of over 400.
In 2018, we celebrated our 40th Anniversary and registered with the Singapore Registries of Societies (UEN S78SS0023H). Our educational programs and events are catered to nourish and inspire the field so no one gets left behind.
From students to researchers, technicians, medical scientists and pathologists, all are welcome to join our blossoming community. We are dedicated to bringing the clinical field closer together while pushing the industry forward in expertise.
There’s enough room for everyone. Join us as a member!
